36 Weeks

Oh my gosh I am so big. Oh well. It's about time I posted another photo so here it is. Cross your fingers that I don't explode...

Reason to smile: My due date is now merely 28 days away!!

The Home Stretch

Well, tomorrow I start my 9th month, which is super exciting! The big day really is almost here. I am 35 weeks now and will be full term in only two more weeks (although little Ava will most likely not arrive quite that early.) I'm still hoping for a birthday just before Christmas because I'm looking forward to spending this holiday at home and not travelling around this year.

I realize my number of posts has been slowing down lately but I've been feeling slow in general these past couple of weeks. I seriously have to consider if something is important enough for me to walk up the stairs, go across the room or get up off the couch! Everything takes so much effort and Jason keeps making fun of the way I huff and puff around. I drove to Rockford on Friday afternoon to drop off Juliana at Bailee's house and it was excruciating to sit straight up in the car for so long. I will not be making any short car trips by myself alone anymore! I still am having a lot of false labor contractions which always subside if I get up and move around a bit or drink a couple glasses of water so no red flags yet.

I'll have to post another picture either tonight or tomorrow. I am as big as I was the day I had Juliana right now so I don't know if I have much more room to grow...

Another week gone by

Well, it's the weekend again and I have to say this past week has been pretty rough. I am nearly convinced that this baby is coming early, but having said that now, I've probably doomed myself to be pregnant until January. Please, no!!! Anyway, she just feels so incredibly low (as opposed to Juliana who enjoyed hanging out by my ribcage.) I've been having a lot of those Braxton-Hicks contractions lately that are pretty painless and are supposed to prepare your body for real labor and delivery. My doctor said basically not to get worried unless they become stronger or start occurring at regular intervals. I've done this before too, so I'm fairly good at telling the difference between "practice" contractions and the real thing. There's pretty much no mistaking the real deal. So, as I was saying, Ava is hanging out pretty low in my tummy which causes all sorts of fun aches and pains in my stomach, lower back, hips and legs. It's like my entire center of gravity is off kilter and my muscles are needing to readjust and frankly, they don't seem to like it! It's really amazing how different it is this time around. I'm hanging in there though. I really hate to complain too much because I haven't had any "real" complications and every Dr. appointment I have they tell me how beautifully everything is going. I know that things could be a lot worse so I'm just really really happy to be having a healthy baby!

Just About 33 weeks along...

If I had to guess, I would say I have about 6 1/2 to 7 weeks to go. In fact, my guess is that little Ava will be born on December 20th. I don't know what I'm basing that on other than the fact that Juliana was 4 days early and I want to be home (with my baby!) before Christmas...
