Oh. My.

Ava crawls. She is 4 1/2 months old and she crawls. Or rather scoots. But the point is that she is definitely mobile. Look out world! She's coming for you! And she's really really drooly! I really was expecting another month or two before this started.

Chomp Chomp

Ava really really really loves to eat. You can tell just from looking at her chubby little baby thighs! She still spits up a lot but it is not stopping her from storing every bit of food in her legs. It's so cute. Now that she's four months old she's started to eat solid foods and boy does she get excited when she sees me coming at her with a spoon full of banana mash! A couple of weeks ago I started her on rice cereal (hoping it would help her sleep longer at night- which it did!) and last week she tried sweet potatoes and applesauce. Today she had bananas and I think that was her favorite so far since she was so excited about it that she ended up with mush all over her face, hair and even in her eyelashes. Since she started the solid foods she's had a few nights where she's slept for 11 hours straight at night which was pure heaven! Last night she was up quite a bit but at least we are getting closer to our goal of sleeping through the night on a regular basis.

Oh, and speaking of Ava's banana eyelashes, hers are absolutely the longest ones I have ever seen. They go all the way to her eyeybrows! It's so unfair that a four month old has longer eyelashes than me. And don't even get me started on Juliana's. She even bats those things at me when she's trying to sweet talk me into getting her way.

Creepy Kids Shows

So Juliana really like this super strange kids show on PBS called Boobah and Ava apparently thinks it's the greatest now as well. She is sitting in her bouncy seat kicking her legs and smiling and yelling at the crazy character on the tv! The show is made by the same people who made the Teletubbies if that gives you any insight into how weird it is. If they like it though, I'm happy.

Rock and Roll!

AVA ROLLS OVER!! Two days ago she finlly did it! Well actually she kept doing it only when nobody was looking at first. I would place her on her back, turn away for a few seconds and then suddenly she'd be on her belly! I think she thought it was quite funny to tease us like this. However, she finally let us see her new trick and now she starts to roll practically the second she hits the floor. She also likes to try to roll when I'm changing her diaper which is not quite as fun. Plus, now that she's got the rolling thing down she's started trying to pull herself forward across the floor like an inchworm. Basically, at only 3 1/2 monthds old she is already tring her hardest to get away from me! She's only been rolling over for two days and already she's moved her focus onto crawling! Hopefully I have a few months until she accomplishes her new goal...
