Juliana and Bailee
Keeping with tonight's theme of "Juli and Friends", here's another one of her and Bailee having a blast in our back yard.

My First Born: Serious Artist and Biker Chick
Juli and Maddie hard at work.
Juli and Anthony hitting the road.
Also in Ava news, she has been pulling up onto her knees for about 2 weeks now and is trying to pull to standing on our furniture, the stairs, as well as any other object that crosses her path. She also has discovered the joy of goldfish crackers and squeals when I get the container out. Juliana took this photo of her sister the other day all by herself:

I'm Getting Around To It.... Eventually.
Right now I am practically drowning in a pile of photos from the past month-and-a-half that are just waiting to be put into galleries. Here are a few to tide you over:

It looks like at the ripe old age of 4, Juliana will have her first art show- alongside her good friend and partner-in-crime Maddie- at the Hi-Fi Cafe in Milwaukee this October! More details to come but needless to say: EXCITED!!!

If I Have to Watch This Movie One More Time....
Some kids like animated Disney movies. Some kids enjoy live action shows like Barney or Sesame Street. My little girl's current favorite movie: Legally Blonde 2: Red White and Blonde. Of course, the character Elle Woods looks like Barbie, so what did I expect? Juliana enjoys the original Legally Blonde movie, of course, but she likes the sequel a bit more lately. Her favoite scene is when Reese Witherspoon is walking up the capitol steps in her pink Jackie-O dress surrounded by a crowd of people in black suits.

So today Juliana decided to stick flower petals to her bedroom door using cherry chapstick. I guess you have to admire her resourcefulness.

Teeth! (And other stuff)
Ava is getting her first teeth! Two of them to be exact, on the the bottom. Of course, they are completely crooked- a sign of future orthodontia to come. She's been using these brand new chompers to help eat her new favorite food- little rice puffs flavored like bananas. She flips out whenever she sees me open the can and she shoves her little fist in to grab a handful.
We all had a pretty great holiday weekend too. We went to the carnival on Sunday where Juliana got to ride a ferris wheel for the first time! Her favorite ride though was a little kiddie roller coaster shaped like a dragon. Don't worry, I took many pictures. We also saw the fireworks that night and wouldn't you know, Ava slept through the entire thing. Amazing. She also slept at the Lyle Lovett concert last week, which by the way was awesome. It was the most perfect weather that night and Ravinia was great. Plus, there's always a good time where Lyle is involved. Juliana danced around and had a blast. We are totally going to go back for another show this summer since it was so easy to get to and completely kid-friendly.
Speaking of kid-friendly, I recently found out we live near an old drive-in movie theater! I'm so excited.
