Lazy Post

Well, I just posted a vacation recap on my personal blog, and since I'm too lazy to post a different one here on the girls' page, I will direct all ye who do not frequent my whiny weblog over there JUST THIS ONCE! Don't worry, it won't happen again! (Just close one eye and try to block out all the other stuff!) Oh yeah, and I will post vacation pics here tomorrow as previously promised.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Well, the fam is heading to Florida this afternoon for a much needed vacation. It's quite possible that I may post pictures while we're there so check back over the weekend. If I don't get to it though, I am apologizing now in advance. I will try to post more updates and such next week since I realize I have been slacking off when it comes to this site. But for now, I'm outta here. :-)

Peace and Quiet. And Pictures.

Well, Jason is off at one of his nerdy programmer meetings tonight so I got a chance to put up two new photo galleries.

Ava Update

Things Ava has learned to do in the past week:

1) Play Peek-A-Boo

2) Say "Uh-Oh!" (Of course, she never does it when asked)

3) Stand with only the fingertips of one hand barely touching the coffee table. (We're convinced that any support she needs to stand is now purely psychological.)

4) As you can see from the picture above, she had her first trip inside the hamster tube at the park.

5) In the past month, she has discovered how to click her tongue against the roof of her mouth, and when you watch her do it, she seems to think that this is one of the funniest things anybody could ever possibly do.

Also, if you look at her arms in the picture, you can see that she is finally starting to lose her mid-forearm roll. She still has, however, her mid-bicep roll and my personal favorite- the wrist roll.

Life is Hard, Isn't It?

"Mommy, am I five yet?"

"No, honey, you are still four years old."

"But I want to be five like Bailee!"

"Juliana, you have a whole year to enjoy being four! Don't worry about it!"

"A whole year?? Oh, man!"

-A conversation I had with Juliana the other day, because being four years old is like, sooo tedious already.

Dance Magic Dance

So, I"ve finally found something that Juliana is afraid of- and it's David Bowie. I tried to watch the movie Labyrinth with her tonight- starring Bowie as the the Goblin King- and although for the first 20 mintues she assured my it was not too scary, she eventually said, "I think you should watch this movie all by yourself" Alas, the Jim Henson gobln movie classic is not for her...yet.
