I thought it would be fun to take a picture of Ava to look like a photo I've always loved of Juliana as a baby. Here's another good comparison:

Also a new gallery with the rest of these pictures is up.
So Ava is still trying desperately to roll over with no luck. She gets stuck on her little baby shoulder and YELLS with frustration until I help flip her over onto her tummy where all is blissful in the world. She absolutely loves lying on her tummy. She's also started grabbing at her toys and can hold onto her rattles, shake them and then stick them into her drooly little mouth to the dismay of big sister Juliana. I'm still in awe of the cute little sounds that come out of her mouth. It seems every day now she finds a new little sound to experiment with. It's enough to make me (almost) forget that it's not even 6am yet when I get to wake up to the sweet sounds of baby talk goo goo gaa-ing at me from the bassinet across the room.
Juliana models the latest in ceramic tile fashions:

So Ava had her 3 month "birthday" yesterday and she is soooo close to rolling over! She has been trying really hard for about a week now. Every time I lay her down on the floor she immediately shifts over to her side and tries to roll onto her belly. I think she will finally get over her little baby shoulder sometime in the next few days. She's also been "talking" nonstop this past week. Sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night and just starts talking and squawking to herself and then goes back to sleep. It is almost unbearably adorable. Things seem to be getting a little bit easier with each passing day now and hopefully I won't be jinxed now for saying it out loud.
Looks like I'd better get used to this face in the years to come:

Also, two more galleries are up on the girls' photo page.
Well, Juliana really enjoyed getting to see her Grandma Joanie this week. She said to me when we had to go to the airport: "I don't want her to leave!" I think she loves getting all the extra attention! Bailee's birthday party was on Sunday as well and both Juli and Ava seemed to enjoy themselves. Ava was very content (luckily!) and Juliana was happy to help Bailee tear into her mountain of gifts. Dan made a really nice video montage for Bailee and it made me want to make a new one for my girls. Jason brought Juliana back over to Bailee's again on Tuesday night for a sleep over and she got to sleep on the new bunk beds which she thought was pretty cool. Unfortunately she returned home the next day with a touch of the flu and was pretty much out of commission all day yesterday. She seems to be feelinng better now though.
In other news, Dan and Michelle are getting married!!! Congratulations you crazy kids! Now I get to go to Vegas two times this year!
