Operation Binky Removal a Moderate Success
I am weak. Well, sort of. Basically, Project Pacifier proved to successful at nighttime but not at naptime. I can only assume that it's harder for Ava to get to sleep without it during the day since it is brighter during the day and she is not completely exhausted like she is at 7:30pm. Still, I'm willing to take what I can get. I wanted to let her cry it out a bit longer at naptime but Jason turned out to be Daddy of the Weak Wills and caved. (Of course, I did not protest but more accurately breathed a sigh of relief that for once I did not have to be the Pushover Parent.) Now that we are on a 50/50 bink schedule though, I'm not quite sure what to do while we are in Las Vegas this weekend. Hopefully she will continue to get to sleep at night without it but we may make some special arranegements JUST THIS ONCE.
As I said before, I am weak.

Don't ever apologize for having a "Mother's Heart". It's the only thing that keeps humans from abandoning their young once they reach high school age. :)

Hi Tracy!
I was just stopping by to ask how operation binky removal went and saw you had already posted about it! You must have read my mind;-). That's great that she is only taking it at nap time. My Ava never would take a binky. I swear I pushed every type of one down her throat (not literally) to keep her from wanting to nurse 24/7.....and the girl did nurse 24/7! Tyler (my son who is 4) did take one and I couldn't get it away from him until he was 3! Finally I told him there were bugs on them and cut the nipple off of one and told him the bugs had eaten it off. That was the end of his binky phase. I'm so glad you are all doing so well, I love coming and checking your posts. Have a great time on your trip, I am envious!
