Halloween Time Again

Juliana is going as Cinderella this year. You can expect her to wear this outfit every day from now until Halloween.

Big Talker

Over the past month or so Ava's vocabulary has exploded. We're talking full-fledged communication with complete sentences and everything. It's so fun to have little conversations with her now, especially since she understands so much of what you say to her. She can say things like:

"Mommy, look at that!"
"I got soccer ball!" (though she says "socky" instead of "soccer")
"Sissy go potty?" (Could potty training be far off?)
"Oooooh, pitty house!" (She kept saying this when we were driving around Milwaukee on Sunday.)

She also likes to open the refrigerator and scratch her head while saying something like, "How about......apple?" And being such a concerned little girl, if I hurt myself she always asks me "Okay Mommy?"

But today though I was especially proud. When I was looking for a snack for her in the kitchen she pointed at the bag of assorted Archway cookies and said, "Mommy, I want CHOCOLATE!"

Like a Buffy/Angel Crossover! Except Not Really.

In case you don't frequent my other weblog, you can see a few vacation pics here and read about our upcoming big move here. I'm too lazy to write separate entries about it for this page but seeing as both items do pertain to the Gessner Girls I'm crossing over to direct you there if you haven't been already. Cheers!

We're Back!

roadtrip.jpg
We got back yesterday from our Florida vacation, complete with cross-country road trip to bring home our beautiful new car. Tomorrow I should be posting some photos from our journey back from the south- or as I now like to call it, "The Land of a Million Waffle Houses."

Fashionista

Ava Putting on juliana's boots
Originally uploaded by plural.
Ava loves shoes. She especially loves shoes that are too big for her, so her sister's cowboy boots were a real hit the other day. She decided to wear them with her backwards baseball cap and no pants (another look she also enjoys.) Now that she has figured out how to take her clothes off, many mornings I come into the bedroom to find just a little diapered bum sticking up in the air inside her crib.
