About Me

I REALLY need to update this page!! Hmmmmm... Where do I start.... Currently I live in Bartlett, Illinois with my cutie-pie husband, Jason, our beautiful 2 year old daughter Juliana Isabelle, and our three kitty kats: Sailor, Spike, and Lulu. For three and a half years I studied modern dance at the Dance Center of Columbia College here in Chicago and came this close to getting my B.A. in dance. However, my life has been turned upside down (in the most wonderful of ways) since the arrival of our little girl. Though I love to dance, and miss performing very much, I have since been delving into the field of sound design. While I was pregnant with Juliana I started designing sound scores for some choreographer friends, and I must admit, I'm hooked. I'm enjoying what I do now because I still get the creative satisfaction I got from dance, only in a new way now. I am returning to Columbia in the fall to complete my degree in dance but after that who knows what I will do next? Right now I'm beginning to study Pilates and am considering maybe going into fitness training. Jason and I are also working on creating a website where I can sell vintage clothing since I've become such an eBay freak over the past few years. I will post links to the site here and on Gogessner.net as soon as we get it up and running! I also enjoy singing, writing, movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I always love a good book, particularly fantasy/sci-fi type authors such as Phillip K. Dick, Marion Zimmer Bradley and Kurt Vonnegut. I'm a perpetual student and love to learn new things especially within the realm of history, science, and religion. I have an intense passion for vintage clothing and am seriously addicted to thrift stores, garage sales and ebay. Of course there is much more to learn about the person that is me, but it is scattered about the rest of this site. I warn you in advance that I am extremely dorky so be prepared for the worst...
