Giuletta Masina (who won Best Actress at Cannes as the title role) is quirky, lovable, and heartbreaking. Masina played the original "hooker with a heart of gold" decades before Julia Roberts ever did. Somehow she manages to make you cry for her but wish you could be her at the same time. Of all my favorite movies, a definite, definite, must see.
