"Our story takes place in the year 2026 in the city of Metropolis which is divided into 4 different levels:

1) Above the ground, the upper city in which the upper class lives.
2) Under the surface of the earth, the huge machines which provide energy for Metropolis to run.
3) Even further below, the workers' city in which the workers who operate the machines are dwelled.
4) And the lowest level in the city, the 2000 year old catacombs..."
